Title: Industrial Engineer

Department: WFI


  • Providing engineering support for shop floor in Houston, TX.
  • Assist with quoting on made-to-order and engineered-to-order forged steel fittings.
  • Work on specific cost reduction projects as assigned by the Director of Engineering
  • Develop standardized work procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Provide support to determine the best manufacturing methods.
  • Time study existing plan operations to document current processes and recommend improvements.
  • Assist scheduling department with recommendations to improve throughput and reduce inventory.

Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as demonstrated CADD experience
  • Ability to conduct time studies and the knowledge to analyze standardized work elements.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others inside and outside of the organization.
  • Graduate of an accredited university in Industrial Engineering B.S. minimum and at least one to five years of related work experience.
  • Must be able to travel to Mount Union, PA. Occasionally.

Title: Metallurgist

Department: WFI


Bonney Forge/WFI International® is seeking a Steel Forge Process Metallurgist to specialize in Steel forging at our Houston Texas location. This position will be responsible for all technical issues related to forging, heat treating, quality assurance, product development, and process improvement efforts related to our Steel forging applications in addition to our other alloy groups. Experience in Alloy Steel materials is required. Professional development and grown opportunities will accompany this position as well.

Job Description: The daily activities of this position are diverse but generally include the following:

  • Troubleshooting and problem solving utilizing a scientific approach and shop involvement at an intimate level.
  • Developing, writing, instituting and executing manufacturing procedures for Forging and Heat Treatment.
  • Develop recommendation for proprietary chemistries for various grades of steel to meet chemistry and mechanical properties required by various specifications.
  • Close involvement with the Quality Assurance Departments and purchasing on material specifications/requirements.
  • Witness and optimization of manufacturing processes for end results.
  • Failure analysis and disposition of internally and externally rejected forging, including implementation of necessary corrective actions.
  • Correspondence and interaction with customers as required.
  • Research and development projects for process improvement and product development.
  • Review and develop new procedures and controls for heat treating ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Use of Forge simulation software and SolidWorks software packages (prior experience with this software not required but a plus).
  • Some travel as necessary.
  • This position is intended to encompass all technical aspects and responsibilities associated with Steel forging applications.
  • Knowledge of both ASTM and API material Specifications.

Title: Mechanical/Piping Engineer

Department: WFI


We are seeking a Mechanical/Piping Engineer for our WFI International® plant in Houston, TX. The candidate must have the skill and ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals. Will perform a variety of engineering related tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsible for both independent work and contractor oversight on mechanical engineering design works specifically in the forged fitting and piping discipline (piping, valves,pipe stress analysis). Review piping specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals, and technical studies. Capable of design piping components and valves for complex applications (i.e., oil and gas production, power generation.] Capable of finite element analysis of components. In depth knowledge of ASME and API piping codes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated mechanical design experience in oil and gas facilities
  • At least 5 yrs experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of piping design standards and codes.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills and ability to work as a team.
  • Owner/Operator company experience or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in the MS office suites of software programs and lotus notes.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCad, Solidworks, and Algor software is helpful.
